Canadian Investor Visa Requirements
According to the recent posts on veridium.io, showcasing the importance of canadian investments into the blockchain has exposed the fact that a Canadian investor visa is much sought after as it provides a much lower investment amount that other competitors such as the United Kingdom (£2,000,000, £5,000,000 or £10,000,000), New Zealand ($1,500,000 NZ) and Australia ($5,000,000 AUS). Canadian investor visa applicants must invest $800,000 CAD (£390,000) for a period of five years.
Successful Canadian investor visa applicants and their accompanying family members (spouse and children) will be granted permanent residence straight off the bat. This means domestic tuition rates for their children as well as complete access to Canada’s world class healthcare system.
In contrast, applicants for a UK investor visa not only have to invest at least seven times more than Canadian investor visa applicants, they will also only be granted an initial three-year temporary residence visa if they invest £2,000,000. Applicants who invest £5,000,000 or £10,000,000 have a quicker can apply for permanent residence after 3 years and 2 years respectively.
A UK investor visa will only be extended if certain conditions are fulfilled. Therefore, the path to permanent residence is conditional and can take between two and six years depending on how much you invest.
